We Have Wheels

A little while back, we had treads, but recently we rethought our choice, and we decided that wheels are better for these reasons:

• Wheels turn faster
• They are more difficult to break
• Easier to work on

These are some of the reasons we don't use treads anymore.

VEX V5 Announced!

VEX Just announced their newest robot brain, the V5. It includes an all-new touch interface for the brain of the robot. It also has new motors with 2x the power, integrated encoders and motor controllers, and an upgraded cooling system with vents and a heat sink to help stop motor overheating. There are other improvements, that you can see in the video below. And oh man is it going to be expensive...

New VEX Team Number

Quick FYI: They made us add a letter to our team number, and we chose the letter F to signify our team name, Fusion, so we decided to change our website domain to this, sorry if this caused any issues, thanks for supporting Team Fusion 135F!

New VEX Robotics Game

Hello, we haven't been updating the blog lately, but this is what's going on.

First, new VEX game! The newest VEX robotics game is In The Zone and this is how you play. It has a whole new game board, and has whole new pieces, which we had to order. Next, new robot! To accommodate with the new VEX game, we had to build a new robot. At first, our robot had a double reverse four bar, but after we went to a competition, we realized that that design put a lot of strain on the motors, and was hard to lift, we went with a reversable four bar, or as we call it the "triangle design." A lot has happened since our last post, but we will try to keep this blog updated as soon as possible.
