Community Outreach.

We've been doing some P.R. lately. We made a presentation for the S.D. of Girl Scouts campout and yesterday we attended a tech show, and while we had some trouble getting people over to the booth at first, we got it together and had a good time, we were even invited to a presentation about FLL, where we got to talk about FIRST and FTC. Busy week.

Things are going better than expected...

Whoa, things are really going well, we've planed and are pretty sure of how we're gonna do what we gotta do, our design uses tank treads and a gravity assisted scoring mechanism, which makes things simple for everyone.  We have the base moving around really well, thanks to our programmers, so yeah, things look bright. It looks like we are even going to keep Alice 2.0 for community outreach events!

THE FUTURE IS NOW!

People sure do like RedVines

Well the fire station presentation was great; a lot of people came to the booth and we showed the robot from last season off to many grateful fans. Lots of kids rolling balls into the rollers and storage tank commenced.  We learned a thing or two from the bomb squad showing their bomb diffusing robot off too, like the use of treads, some things regarding balance and several other things that sure would help us get over those obstacles.  We also learned people really like sweets, some people just came by and ate our free RedVines... I'm looking at you straw baseball cap, it's ONE per person. Looks like Alice may be going too... We'll miss you baby, I guess it's inevitable that we'll have to get rid of last year's 'bot sometime.

~Goodbye Alice, xoxoxoxo<3 (;o;)

We've got plans...

So we are starting to get a bot together, and quite a few good ideas are popping up; we really need to get the ball rolling 'cuz things are starting to heat up. Our first competition is in December, which seems like a long time but anyone in FTC knows it goes by waaaay fast.  In meet and greet news you are going to be able to meet the team from 9 A.M. to 6 P.M. on Sunday, Oct. 3rd at the Coronado, CA Fire Station.  Hope to see you there.

Remember, tic-tic-tic on your giger counter means run away.

Fusion, meet Web 2.0. Web 2.0, Fusion.

This is the birth post of the legit and official Team 135 Fusion blog, here we are at the start of a new robotics season and things seem to be going pretty smooth, of course I'm sure everything will start heating up come tourney time, but why talk about that now, it's an eternity away, right? RIGHT?!  Well I'm sure we'll be ready for it this time when it comes even if it does roll by faster than we thought.  Anyway, keep checking up on the blog for more Fusion news.

Stay safe kids, Mr. Fusion, out.
